Mysłowice

Our journey has come to an end.
We saw the rest of Copenhagen on Thursday, the changing of the guards next to the Amalienborg Palace and the beautiful basilica called the Marble Church. We also went to the anarchistic district called Christiania, we rode by the metro without a driver and later we ascended The Round Tower, where Tychon de Brache had watched the sky. All the day Adam was driving with a puncture, as we decided that there was no point in fixing it. The tyres were so worn out that we would surely get another puncture...
At the end of the day we sat next to the Copenahgen's ponds. Nature is the thing we appreciated most highly in the city. The journey by a ferry was a very pleasurable one. It lasted 11 hours, 7 of which we slept away. In Świnoujscie Asia's mom and brother, Michał, waited for us. We've spent two days at the Polish seaside. Now our holidays are slowly coming to an end. Practices, job, overdue exams...We thank You for reading our diary and for all the e-mails, SMS's and kind entries do the guestbook. Thanks to them we didn't feel lonely
In conclusion, our has journey succeeded, we have realised our plans. It was worth the effort experience this adventure, meet good people and see beautiful places. We strongly reccomend Denmark as a place for a summer outing.

Copenhagen

It's our last day in the capital. The day before yesterday we visited the Tivoli Amusement Park, the museum of wax figures, and we had to fix a tube in Adam's bike four times. Yesterday we were in the Parliament, the Glyptotek museum of art, and in the evening we met our Polish friends at the barbecue.
Today we're going to visit Christiania and tha palace of the Queen, and in the evening we are going to board a ferry to Świnoujście.

Copenhagen

Yesterday in the morning we went once again to the Fredericksborg Castle. We took a lot of pictures, strolled in the gardens and had nice time. Leter we went to the Fredensborg Castle, but it was closed to visitors. Probably some member of the royal family was staying inside the castle. Adam got a puncture and we had to fix it in the gardens. In the evening we rode to the Zealand's northernmost cape, Gillbjerg Hoved, where two centuries ago Soren Kierkegaard took his walks. For the first and the last time during our trip we slept "wild", we put up our tent in the forest and we didn't experience anything unpleasant there.
Today in the morning we went to Helsignor and visited the Kronborg Castle, a place chosen by Shakespeare as a setting for "Hamlet". Later we rode along the shore in the direction of Copenhagen. On the road we visited Karen Blixen's tomb and Adam got another puncture. Now we are in Copenhagen and we have three days to visit it.

Hillerod

Today in the morning we were in the centre of Roskilde. First we went to the library. We read guides and papers concerning our next year journey Later we went to the Museum of Modern Art. There were three works by Yoko Ono, and among them a tree on which we hung our wishes. You could also compose music using bottles there. You only had to take 4 bottles, put it on a table, and the music started to play. The kind of the music depended on the bottles. Unfortunately we didn't manage to enter the cathedral, which is the greatest attraction in Roskilde :/ It was closed this Saturday. We went to Hillerod and are now staying at a very nice couple's house. After the supper they took us for a ride to the Frederiksborg Castle which made a great impression on us. Tomorrow we are going to Helsingor, and the day after tomorrow we will be in Copenhagen.

Roskilde

We liked the Mons Klint very much. It's almost upright and it towers about 100 meters above the sea level and it's impressing. On Wednesday we went to Zealand, the last island we are going to visit.
On Thursday we saw another cliff, Stevns Klint, this time it was a calcareous one. Today we came to Roskilde and went to the Museum of Viking Ships. Tomorrow we are going to visit the centre of this early Danish capital more closely.

Rabymagle - 10 km from Stege

Yesterday morning when we woke up we could really see a doe eating apples from the garden We spent the forenoon pleasantly with Benthe and Poul. We visited Nakskov, while Asia's bike was being repaired. They changed a penumatic and an inner tube, so we hope we get no more punctures. In the afternoon, when the rain stopped, we rode through the very flat Lolland. On the way we visited the center of Maribo, which has a nice cathedral. In Nykobing, on the Falster Island, events of many kinds were taking place yesterday. We spent there some time in the evening and slept at Niels' from Couchsurfing.
Today the wind blew strongly. We rode through the Falster Island and arrived at Stubbekobing, from where we sailed to the Bogo Island by a small ferry. We wanted to find the Museum of Chocolate, about which we read in our guidebook, but it turned out the the museum doesn't exist anymore. We are now on the Mon Island. Tomorrow we are going to see a famous cliff, Mons Klint.

Vesterborg

We didn't have the access to the Internet for four day, so here's what happened at that time. On Thursday we visited Nyborg, the old capital of Denmark. There's a nice castle and a modern and cosy library Later we went to the Egeskov Castle. Visiting it took us the whole afternoon and the forenoon of the following day. The most interesting thing was a miniature castle built as a dollhouse, which was perfect in every detail. It was great to walk through the trees and labyrinths We spent the night at a free of charge camping site. Then we went to Faaborg throught the "Funen Alps" We reached many summits, the highest of which was about 120 m. After spending the night in tent, we went it the direction of Svendborg. Asia got two punctures, one of which we had to mend in the rain. After a short visit in Svenborg we left Funen and went to the Tasinge island. There we paid for accomodation for the first time. It didn't cost much, but we hope it was the last time we paid. Today we arrived at the Langeland island, and then we went to Lolland by ferry. We are staying in an nice couple's old house in the middle of the wood. Reportedly, does look through our window in the morning. We hope we'll see them.

Ullerslev

The route covered today was very short. We rode 50 km and visited Kerteminde. It's a small touristic town, and many German, Swedish and Danish yahts are moored in its port. Under the jetty tens of medusae float, and above the town there is an old windmill. We liked the place very much. We also spent some time on Hindsholm peninsula and went on in the direction of Ullerslev. We are sleeping at a house of a Danish couple. The weather forecast for the following days isn't very good, but we hope we'll manage to visit the Egeskov Castle.

Odense

It rained heavily in the morning yesterday. We slowly ate our breakfast, koldskal, which is a buttermilk with sugar, lemon and cakes similar to biscuits. Around the noon the weather improved and we went to th Andersen's Museum. The funniest exhibit was a rope, which Andersen had been taking with him everywhere, so that he could use it in order to escape through the window if fire occured
We also were in the sole catholic church in the town. Three in four priests were Polish. Today we're going to the Hindsholm peninsula. We will sleep in Ullerslev, at a house of a Dane met through the Hospitality Club.

Odense

Yesterday we visited the center of Federicia and went to an interesting museum, Miniby, which is miniature of a 19th century town, where one can take a walk. We tasted traditional Danish sandwiches, smørrebrød, which are made of brown bread with fried fish or beef. All 70 km we rode in the rain yesterday. On the last kilometer Adam got a puncture. We took our bikes to a dormitory, where we now live with a Polish student, Antek. Today we have visited some of the town, we went to the cathedral, and walked next to Andersen's house. Tomorrow we will go inside it.
